Dr. S.R.K.Singh, topped in ARS and started his career as Scientist (Agricultural Extension) at ICAR-VPKAS, Almora, Uttarakhand. He obtained his Bachelor Degree in Agriculture from Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi (U.P.). He completed his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Dairy Extension at National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal (Haryana). He received merit scholarship during the entire academic period.
Dr. Singh is presently working as Director at ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ATARI), Zone-IX,Jabalpur (M.P), India. He is recipient of 12 awards including Agriculture Today Award, SEE Fellow Award, ISEE Fellow Award, Best Mobilizer Award, Best Extension Scientist, Best Extension Professional Award, three Young Scientist Awards along with other awards & recognition. He has published 100 articles in national and 23 in internationally reputed journals. Besides 18 books, 53 bulletins, 16 book chapters are also in his credit. Presently he is engaged in Research and Extension with KVK system of ICAR in Central and Eastern India. He has initiated and implemented concepts like-KVK-KMA, KVK-Ring concept, KVK Technology Park, KVK-ATMA Convergence Model, Methodological Initiatives for Extension research, Nutri-SMART Village, agri-preneurship. He has been editors in refereed Extension Journals. Also, he has been member of various important committees at ICAR level, SAUs and State Planning Commission specially on agricultural extension matters.
